About the Author

Paper modeling History:

I have been a paper modeler for about 12 years now. I started when I was still in high school scratch building objects from paper for school projects. I found it enjoyable and soon found myself scratch building other objects from paper just for the fun of it. I made many scratch build models then. This continued on up to around my third year in college. During that time I miraculously discovered paper models on the internet. I still continued on doing scratch building, but mostly downloaded models and built them until I was bored. So I decided to try to design my own patterns. Using drawing programs I learned using for school purposes and other interesting programs on the net, I released my first model with patterns- the USS Enterprise ( original version ) from Star Trek. From then on, I designed a few more models with patterns- until the big bang in early 2003, both hard drives on my PC got fried, Destroying many half-completed designs of models and my early work portfolio during the time I got so dismayed and just took a break from designing and building paper models. I went on with my life and discovered that there is also life outside paper model land. By mid 2004, I slowly started designing paper models again. Up to now, I am gradually continuing to get back to paper modeling.

Who in the world is Chippy Chua 1978-?

“Who am I?” Ever asked yourself that question? I have. Let me introduce myself. My name is Christian Noel L. Chua. Son of my parents, brother to my sister and half brother. I believe in God , the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and Earth. I believe that there are aliens among us. I like dogs over cats. I like eating very much. I eat vegetables. I don't like eating liver though. I'm a bit calm (people say grumpy) right after waking up. I fear cockroaches! Rats are all right. I have many true friends. I don't have much money. I have a loud mouth mother- who I love dearly. My dad's dead, he was a good man. My sister I don't understand so much. I also have a “special someone” who I love so very much, beyond words, and I'm so happy to know that she loves me too! I'm a sweet lover! I'm definitely sure of that. Occasionally, I like to read books ( 3/4 “ or thinner only). I like poetry. I like colorful objects. I like building things with my hands. I like designing. I used to be a loner. I'm a weirdo. I don't like rain that much. I like nature trips and long drives (minus the traffic). I would like to jump off a plane before I die. I plan to live up to a hundred- so far so good. I don't fear life anymore. I know how to appreciate stuff, especially the essentials in life. I consider myself to be open minded but hard headed, somtimes depressive, but never hopeless. I have so many blessings, I thankful. I'm one lucky fellow.
